Recently I participated in one interesting work titled ‘Automated surveillance of urinary tract infections in a tertiary care hospital in Stockholm.’ I was responsible for mining the UTI-symptoms from free medical text data using natural language processing to be used in Algorithm 3. Algorithm 3 provided the best-balanced performance in the evaluation. The work is published as an abstract (abstract 3546) in the ‘Abstract Book 2020, European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases (ECCMID)’.
